The Senior Choir has been on the go in our school for many years. Senior Choir is an after school activity which is open to any girls and boys from 4th, 5th or 6th class who have an interest in singing. This year rehearsals take place on Tuesdays, from 2:30 to 3:15 in the Library, run by Ms Clinch and Ms Devane.

Every year the Senior Choir performs several times throughout the year. In the first term, we work on improving our singing and building up a repertoire and end the term by singing at the Christmas Concert and the Carol Service. In the second term, we sometimes take part in Corfheile na Scoileanna, which is a non-competitive music festival for schools from all around the country to perform in front of each other in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght. This is always a great day out!

In the final term, things get really busy when we sing at the school religious ceremonies – First Penance, Confirmation and First Communion. This is a lovely opportunity particularly for those with brothers or sisters making Communion or Confirmation. The Confirmation ceremony is always our biggest challenge – last year we sang 19 songs! – but we love it and it’s a great honour. Other events arise from time to time e.g. Peace Proms

The Junior Choir

The Junior Choir has been on the go in our school for many years also. Junior Choir is an after school activity which is open to any girls and boys from 2nd and 3rd classwho have an interest in singing. This year rehearsals take place on Tuesdays, from 2:45 - 3:15 in the library.Every year the Junior Choir performs several times throughout the year. In the first term, we work on improving our singing and building up a repertoire and end the term by singing at the Christmas Concert and the Carol Service. In the second term, we sometimes take part in Corfheile na Scoileanna, which is a non-competitive music festival for schools from all around the country to perform in front of each other in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght. This is always a great day out! We will also sing at the asssemblies and other school celberations that arise.
