Cricket is a team sport that is played in Ireland in the summer months. It is a fast-paced game that requires batting, bowling and catching skills. In Ollie's, we have two cricket teams - 4th class and 5th class. Last year we won three tournaments and we're hoping to do just as well this year, if not better!

As cricket is an outdoor sport, training starts after the Christmas holidays, when the weather starts to get better. We have trials to select the squad in January or February. We train for one hour per week after school. If you are interested in joining or want to ask any questions about the Cricket Squad, you can come and see Mr Lynch in Room 9 at any time during the year.
